Role
Interior Design

French Oak Residence is a private home in Shanghai conceived as a continuous domestic landscape.

The interior explores how spatial calm can be shaped through proportion, natural light, material restraint, and softened transitions. Curved openings and carefully articulated thresholds establish continuity between shared and private rooms, allowing the home to unfold as a connected sequence rather than a collection of separate spaces.

Warm timber, pale surfaces, custom joinery, and restrained detailing create a quiet and grounded atmosphere. Furniture, lighting, and architectural elements are composed as part of the same spatial language, supporting everyday life with clarity, softness, and a sense of permanence.
